Depends on if anyone on the committee has an agenda...Jealously? Difference of opinion? Thorn in the committees side? Stuck up for what was right and is now labeled a TROUBLE-MAKER. etc etc

Dismissing Servant: Interesting thing about that song. It sounds like he was describing what the new system would be like. If you believe in a future here on earth like some of us do.
We brought that up to an elder in our cong. and he looked at us like we were nuts and said "He doesn't like that song because John says "And no religion too..."
But if you think about it. Religion has been the biggest thorn in this world's side and in the new earth there won't be any religion. Because religion separates people as much as nations do, so there will ONE WAY, God's way!
So John was correct!

Good topic Terry and good points ADCMS. A good example of this, yesterday I was on a JW's forum looking at a comment that was had been posted on another thread and there was a post about the rumors flying around about the new July WT getting ready to come out and several of the JW's actually said 'Well if its secret until the WT comes out then maybe we shouldn't even be talking about it"! WTF! Unbelievable how mind- frelled they are. One person said that curiosity got the better of them and they went to an apostate website and the others on the forum were critisizing this person for taking a peek and being on the apostate website that they should wait for the 'proper time'??????
Unbelieveable!

A personal message to you lurking Jehovah's Witnesses out there
by Terry inwhile you were sitting in that uncomfortable folding chair the other night.... listening to something you've heard already a thousand times before.... do you know what was happening at the same time?.
somebody somewhere else was studying a real textbook.
somebody was cramming for a college exam.

Well said Terry and so true. I was a JW my entire life, [49 years] I was of that 1975 generation fiasco. When I was chemically poisoned at work [dry-cleaners] the state I lived in was a 'no-fault] workers compensation state, which means I only got a small settlement and now I have to depend on a mere $590 a month social security disability and my husband for support. Because of my chemical sensitivities I cannot go back to school, I cannot go out and work etc. I'm not bitter, just angry that I wanted to be a veternarian and my parents said 'No'. I would have had a career, I wouldn't have gotten poisoned. And now because I told my mother that I can't belong to a religious organization that doesn't give a shit about us she shuns my family and I. If this is the way they treated my little brother then I can understand why he killed himself! He had nobody. At least I have my husband, daughter & son in law.
But I do believe one good thing has come out of my health problem. I saw the friends and family for what the love truly was. The minute you cannot go to the Kingdom Hall and go out in service, you are NOTHING. I even had my own mother in law tell me I was going to die at armeggedon because I cannot serve Jehovah like I was supposed to.
Their love, even family members is CONDITIONAL
